About Me

I'm Lukas Fiedler, a Fullstack Engineer from Dortmund who builds web apps end to end: frontend, backend, infrastructure and everything in between.

My path started with a Diploma in Mathematics from TU Dortmund (minor in Computer Science). Right after graduation I packed my bags and spent 1,5 years in Ethiopia, where I built two student management systems for a college and a school, my first real taste of shipping fullstack software from scratch.

Back in Germany I joined the web agency Bense.com, where I introduced Vue.js to the stack and delivered client projects across REST APIs, CMS development and everything web.

From 2020 to 2024 I was a Senior Fullstack Developer at Ianus Simulation, building applications for flow simulation control and calculation, working with Laravel, Loopback, Flask, Nuxt, three.js and vtk.js.

Since February 2024 I'm a Senior Frontend Developer at Smake IT, Nuxt 4, Tailwind, headless UI and TanStack on the frontend, with Laravel API work, Node.js and Flask microservices, and Kubernetes scaling on the side.

When I'm not coding you'll find me jogging (ran my first half marathon in 2022), hiking, on a via ferrata, or listening to music.
